Mike Hill

Mike leads one of our Public Sector teams, bringing a proven track record of successfully delivering projects of diverse types, sizes, and complexities. While his experience spans multiple sectors, his primary focus is now on public sector work, with 70% of his projects commissioned within the healthcare sector, encompassing acute, community, and mental health design.

With over 24 years of experience in architectural practice, Mike offers invaluable expertise in client liaison, technical design, project management, contract administration and principal designer services. His proactive approach and commitment to delivering client-focused solutions further enhance his contributions.

Mike joined the practice in 2006 and was promoted to Director in 2022. As a member of the Board, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of the organisation through strategic decision-making. His wide-ranging responsibilities include overseeing framework submissions, developing new business opportunities, mentoring staff, and managing resources and finances.

As a chartered member of several professional bodies within the construction industry, Mike is committed to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. He actively contributes to various internal working groups, including CDM, BSA, and ESG, with the goal of fostering collaboration and disseminating expertise across the practice.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending quality time with his family, exploring new towns, cities, and countries, and generally embracing the great outdoors through activities such as hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, and practically anything that gets his heart racing without putting too much strain on his knees! He is also a keen DIY enthusiast, frequently applying his creativity to home renovation projects.
