Lawton Tubes Company appointed Pinnegar Hayward Design to create a state-of-the-art new distribution centre which showcased their position as market leaders in the Copper tube market.
PHd worked to deliver this crisp, contemporary design which employs Copper fins along the front façade, clearly illustrating the Client operations and marking the entrance to the office accommodation and a marker for visitors. In collaboration with A&H Construction and Fusion BC, the project has regenerated a piece of industrial wasteland into a market-leading office and distribution facility, ever managing to dodge potential wartime bombs!
Following the successful delivery of the new-build £6.5m distribution centre on Torrington Avenue PHd was again engaged to revamp the Lawton Tube Company’s historic facility directly opposite. In a live environment & through careful programming, production was maintained at total capacity throughout this technically challenging project with a result that perfectly matches the new building leaving no evidence of the historic structure behind.
