Lincoln Museum Redevelopment

With its strong cultural roots in Lincolnshire, the Lincoln Museum has long been essential to the preservation of the area's history. The museum was founded to honour and preserve this legacy, and it has grown to be a vital component of the neighbourhood. The museum has started an ambitious initiative to update its permanent gallery and convert the current children's PLAY area into a flexible space for exhibitions and workshops as part of its ongoing efforts to be relevant and approachable.

PHd was honoured to be one of the few people chosen in 2023 to provide a conceptual design for this significant project. Their style is in line with the museum's mission to provide a dynamic, flexible environment that appeals to a wide range of visitors.

The goal of this initiative is to improve the museum's offerings and encourage people to come back. Through enhancements to the entire visitor experience and the presentation of more powerful stories, the museum aims to promote extended stays and frequent engagement.

The Lincoln Museum is committed to serving its current visitors and drawing in new ones as this project progresses. The museum aims to reach and include a wider audience by means of community outreach, internet programming, and on-site exhibits. An important turning point in the museum's history has been reached with this renovation, which strengthens its position as a thriving, welcoming, and long-lasting cultural hub for Lincolnshire and beyond.
