With its strong cultural roots in Lincolnshire, the Lincoln Museum has long been essential to the preservation of the area's history. The museum has started an ambitious initiative to update its permanent gallery and convert the current children's PLAY area into a flexible space for exhibitions and workshops as part of its ongoing efforts to be relevant and approachable.
PHd was honoured to be one of the few people chosen in 2023 to provide a conceptual design for this significant project. Their style is in line with the museum's mission to provide a dynamic, flexible environment that appeals to a wide range of visitors.
The goal of this initiative is to improve the museum's offerings and encourage people to come back. Through enhancements to the entire visitor experience and the presentation of more powerful stories, the museum aims to promote extended stays and frequent engagement.
