Former home of The Leed's Club, a private member's club, this iconic 1820 Grade II* Listed building has been meticulously restored, now welcoming the public as the 'The Lost & Found’ since 2018.
Revitalised into a sophisticated cocktail bar and restaurant, multiple distinct areas were created for entertainment, including two separate restaurant floors, a cocktail bar and the trademark of all Lost & Found venues – a secret hidden bar.
The eclectic mix of interiors and the restoration of original early Victorian features create a sense of a bygone era, but they were not without their challenges. As the building is an asset of great historical value, close liaison was required with the City Council's Conservation team and Historic England, which praised the "very fine" marble lavatory with original wooden fittings.
Marston’s and the Revere chain appointed PHd as the Lead Consultants on their nationwide programme to create new bars and restaurants within buildings with real character.
Reinvigorating historical fabrics for a bright new future came with distinct challenges, not least regarding safe access and egress of patrons, particularly in a fire. PHd coordinated the whole team from initial appraisal through to opening night.
