The Foundry Project, the latest 2016 venture for Pitcher and Piano, a premium chain arm of Maston's, is a contemporary loft-style all-day bar and restaurant in the heart of the historic spa town of Harrogate.
Described as "the happiest place in Harrogate," its industrial-luxe interior provides an atmospheric hideout amongst the new mixed-use redevelopment.
The project focused on reclaimed materials such as the charred timber bar, which featured three large copper tanks, hand-painted floor tiles, exposed flaked paint, and Victorian wall panelling.
With a 174-cover capacity over two floors, we worked hard to improve the building's acoustic performance, particularly for the area's residential neighbours.
As with our other Marston schemes, PHd liaised closely with the rest of the design team and Landlord to ensure the requirements for an increased occupancy building were met. This included access, fire egress, the technical requirements for the basement and ensuring specific features, such as the wood-burning pizza oven could be safely accommodated.
“From our creatively cool interior and industrial design to our diverse selection of drinks and food, Foundry Project will stand out from the competition, providing a relaxed and informal atmosphere for customers ranging from solo laptop workers to big groups on special occasions.”
"We are delighted to be expanding Foundry Project with our second site in Harrogate. We believe the new bar will bring a unique venue to the spa town and is a key part of the continued transformation of the Revere brand."
