Mark is a senior architect in one of our healthcare teams. He is responsible for the design and delivery of new-build and refurbishment projects for several NHS trusts across the Midlands. He has significant experience in all stages of the design and construction process, including client relations and contract administration, as well as concept and detailed design.
In his twenty-five-year career as a qualified architect, Mark has delivered various projects within the healthcare sector, including operating theatres, radiotherapy bunkers, and audiology clinics. Outside of healthcare, Mark has delivered numerous specialist facilities, including clean rooms, data centres, defence training facilities, secure custodial accommodation, several private houses, and domestic conversions.
Recently, Mark has assumed a new role, using his many years of experience to head up PHd’s Health & Safety and CDM Regulations focus group and act as the practice’s in-house CDM Principal Designer.
Mark retains a keen interest in the existing built environment and previously worked as an architect for the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool, undertaking quinquennial inspections and overseeing several high-profile refurbishments, reordering and restoration schemes.
This love of buildings is reflected in Mark being an active member of the Urban Sketchers movement, and he can often be found carrying his sketchbook and watercolours around Birmingham and the surrounding areas in search of an appealing view and a pint of real ale.
